EDF Futsal Youth Tournament 2023

Saturday 10th June 2023

The long awaited day had come, the EDF Youth Futsal Tournament 2023 was held at Derby Arena on Saturday 10th June 2023. EDF Youth have previously hosted 5-aside and futsal tournaments in 2019 and 2020. We have not been able to host since 2020 due to an awful pandemic that changed the world dramatically that none of us foreseen.

In Derby Arena, in the duration of the tournament, we have had over 325 people attendance and ran by the EDF Youth. The U10 have played in the morning only while U13 and U16 played for the whole day.

In total, we have had 5 clubs, 14 teams, 76 matches, 252 goals scored, two Semi-Finals, two 3rd/4th Playoffs, three Finals, 48 medals, three trophies and one girls team!

Fourteen (14) Deaf youth teams together entered from as far as south to Surrey and north to Yorkshire, namely Blanche Nevile School, Birmingham Deaf Junior, Derby Deaf Futsal, Farsley Celtic Deaf Colts, Red Teams.

The tournament for Under 10, Under 13 and Under 16 were a huge success with 14 teams battling it out on pitch A and B.
