EDF Futsal U21 Tournament 2019

SATURDAY 11TH MAY 2019

The tournament for Futsal U21 was held at Playfootball Birmingham with over 80 people attendance for our first tournament by EDF. Jennifer Lynch, Futsal co-ordinator for EDF attended this tournament with support, Sean Noone, EDF’s head of competitions.

There were 5 teams entered, they are Doncaster DFC, Peterborough United DFC, Barnet DFC, St.Albans City DFC and Birmingham DFC, who travelled far to play a proper Futsal including 40mins match and following its rules.

The matches throughout the day ran very smoothly. All teams gave their best and some have played phenomenal games!

The local FA Referees have commented “An enjoyable day with a very good standard of Futsal from all clubs that have played today.”

St. Albans City DFC 0 – 16 Peterborough United DFC

Final standing for the EDF Futsal U21 Tournament 2019:

After every match that have taken place, we ask the referees to decide who is the man of the match. EDF proudly announced that overall highest number of men of the match goes to a Doncaster DFC’s player, Byron Down. 

EDF Futsal U21 Winner: Peterborough United DFC

EDF Futsal U21 Tournament 2019’s winner went to Peterborough United DFC. Who now qualifies for DCL Futsal U21 in Poland coming up on October 2019.
